The Misings are one of the constituent of Tani group of people.This TANI TRIBE lives alongwith their number of sub-groups in Upper Assam and parts of Arunachal Pradesh in India.They traced their root through ABOTANI-whom they considered the first man on earth.This belief is same to various Tani tribal groups counterpart of Arunachal Pradesh,India togetheer these people are called Tani people.
